Missing items from shipments must be reported within 2 business days from date of receipt.

Our 30-Day Return Policy

All items purchased from Trailside Firearms includes free shipping. We accept returns on unused, unaltered products in original packaging with all accompanying manuals, instructions and accessories. Clothing must be in new, unworn, unwashed condition with the tags still attached to be eligible for return. Trailside Firearms will provide buyer with a return shipping label, and a 15% restocking fee will apply.

All firearms purchased from Trailside Firearms will be shipped to the FFL of buyer’s choice. Prior to shipping any firearm, the buyer is required to provide us the information for the FFL that will be receiving the firearm. Any firearm purchased from Trailside Firearms can be returned to us at buyer’s request, subject to a 15% restocking fee and return shipping cost, as long as it has not been picked up from the receiving FFL dealer. Once a firearm is transferred to you from the FFL dealer, we are no longer able to accept a return.

While the firearm is still in the possession of the FFL dealer, please inspect the firearm thoroughly to ensure that there are no visible defects. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please contact us before picking up the firearm from your dealer. We can arrange to have it returned to us, and upon delivery and careful inspection of the firearm, we will provide you with your choice of either a replacement, if available, or a full refund on the firearm.

Guns refused by the FFL dealer, or which cannot be transferred due to a failed background check, will be subject to a 15% restocking fee and return shipping cost.

Factory new guns must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty claims. Used, obsolete and military surplus guns are sold as is with no express or implied warranty and cannot be returned.

If a product (other than a firearm) is defective, we will accept it with a detailed explanation from the buyer of the defect, subject to validation upon receipt. Trailside Firearms will provide you with a return shipping label.

Due to safety considerations and legal/regulatory reasons, ammunition, gun powder, primers, 80% lower receivers/frames, receiver blanks, receiver flats, pistol braces, or any product containing fuel or liquids may not be returned. For hygiene reasons, underwear and mouth calls may only be returned in new, unused condition in original packaging. Trailside Firearms will provide you with a return shipping label and a 15% restocking fee will apply.

Optics / Sights

Optics, iron sights, and mounts must be brand new in the original packaging to be eligible for return. Trailside Firearms will provide you with a return shipping label and a 15% restocking fee will apply. If installation has been attempted or completed, returns will not be accepted by Trailside Firearms and any issues should be referred to the manufacturer’s warranty repair center for return policy and shipping information.

Restricted Items by Area of Residence

  • We cannot ship outside of the 50 U.S. States.
  • We are prohibited from shipping ammunition to PO boxes.
  • We cannot ship ammunition to California residents that do not hold an FFL and COE (Certificate of Exemption). Please submit a copy of your documents to [email protected] or indicate the ship-to address of your local FFL, with their permission.
  • We do not ship ammunition to Hawaii, Alaska, District of Columbia, Chicago or New York City.
  • All customers from Connecticut, Illinois, and New Jersey must have proper firearms identification and provide documentation via email/fax before their ammunition order can be shipped. Connecticut residents must also send a copy of their driver’s license.

Due to individual municipal or state laws, we may not be able to sell or ship some items to your area. Ultimately it is the customer’s responsibility to be aware of their federal, state and local laws.
